There’s also a charming maze of cobbled streets, a handful of independent shops and numerous restaurants offering a traditional Majorcan dining experience. A bustling market, usually held on Tuesdays and Sundays, sells everything from local produce to crafts and souvenirs.
For a fun afternoon with the family, the Hidropark, located in Port d’Alcudia, comes top of the list of child-friendly attractions. It’s the only water park on the north of the island and has slides, activities and splash-pools for all ages.

A visit to the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo is a great rainy-day activity - or the perfect excuse to briefly escape from the sun. It’ll take you about 50 minutes to drive to the caves via the PM-334. Take a tour and witness the impressive formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as Lake Martel. It’s believed to be one of the world’s largest subterranean lakes.
Deia
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Alcudia, head to the more tranquil area of Deia. This beautiful village is around an hour’s drive from Majorca Puerto Alcudia Seaport, and offers a captivating glimpse of traditional Majorca. There are narrow streets, boutique hotels and a number of gift shops to explore. It’s also famous for being the residence of the poet Robert Graves, who spent much of his life here. A visit to his house is highly recommended. Head down to the village’s small beach for a swim - or just for a spot of quiet contemplation.
