Fårup Sommerland

Voergaard Castle

The Renaissance Voergaard Castle is just a 30-minute drive (via the E45) from Aalborg Airport and is a definite must-see. The castle houses a fine collection of art including works by Rafael and Rubens. The oldest section of the building dates back to around 1481.

Aalborg Airport is around a 15-minute drive (via Thistedvej and Route 55) from Aalborg – a modern and diverse city offering a selection of museums, restaurants and cutting edge attractions.

Discover one of Aalborg’s most unusual attractions by venturing three metres beneath one of the city’s busiest shopping streets. The Franciscan Friary Museum can be reached by an elevator outside a department store and features an old chapel, walled cellar and displays documenting its excavation and history.

If you’re looking for outdoor activities, head to Østerdalen – a large valley that the river Glåma (the largest and longest in Norway) runs through. Just a 25-minute drive from Aalborg Airport, you’ll be able to spot numerous birds and animals within the 100 hectares of water meadows, lakes and forest.
